Wanted one of these every since I was a kid watching Mr T on the A Team!

I wanted to be smart and a leader like Hannibal, suave like Face and strong like Mr. T. However I believe I just ended up crazy like Murdock. I traded for a Mini14 tactical blues (I know I know that’s not the original gun the A team had) then finally pulled the trigger and bought one of the replica stocks from Samson mfg.

Haven’t got to shoot it yet but TOTALLY understand, just from handling it, why they never hit anything they shot at !

Like you, I grew up watching the A Team, and like you I had to have a Mini 14. I never owned one with the folding stock though. That’s cool whether you can hit the broad side of a barn or not.

I don't remember the A Team having pic rails and lights. I always marveled at the show , only place to watch fire fights where no one got hit with even a ricochet .

I always liked the looks and kind of wanted one, but the thought of banging all that ammo and never hitting anything, kept nagging my brain.

We went on a Spring '84 turkey hunt . 4 of us, 1 had a new Mini-14.
The place was loaded with jackrabbit, no turkeys. We rode around in an mail carrier Jeep. He never did hit a jackrabbit

I've always liked Mini-14 rifles. I think it's because a Mini-14 was the first rifle I ever bought for myself after I left home. I have two now...one looks almost like yours:

Back in the 80s, the Ruger Mini 14 was "The Gun" of the OHP and several other agencies. The M16/AR15 was for SWAT guys, but the Mini 14 was the average coppers bestie.

the A team!!!! turn concealment into cover? hide behind that empty 55 gallon barrel as the boolets ricochet off it. i think the sand people learned basic marksmanship from watching the A team hip shoot their mini's. laugh

Shot lots of coyotes during the summers with one. It's the ultimate in "holding on target while squeezing and squeezing and squeezing" practice for sure lol.

Turning it into my night time gun theirs were stainless too so it’s just close not exact

You must’ve had a good one, because I’m not sure a couple of mine were accurate enough to even hit a coyote.
