When are all the stupid people going to get it through their thick skulls that the sitting President (whomever that is) has very little personal power when it comes to laws. Sure, he can pass TEMPORARY Executive Orders which are almost always rescinded after his term in Office is over, but he cannot change Federal Laws by himself; only Congress can do that.

Same as almost all personal gun restrictions are implemented by State legislation, yet everyone always blames the Federal government for those changes. Yes, the Feds have done some restrictions or bans but the vast majority of 2nd Amendment violations are done by the States. WAKE-UP people and see whom is actually screwing you!

This legislation, while it sounds good, reminds me of the ad of grandma printing out pages of faces and pasting them to her wall and calling it facebook or something.

Pretty sure that’s not how it works, though I would love for it to work this way, with the states setting their own rules.

Okay, "AFT(sic) brace rules?". The BATF, like all Federal agencies are funded through Congress . . . don't want to lose a large part of your funding, do this or else . . . Remember, the BATF is not only about firearms. It's also about everything alcohol and tobacco as well, meaning that Congressional decisions concerning firearms can also be swayed by the MUCH LARGER [than firearm] alcohol & tobacco lobby.

Don't want your tax-money being sent to Ukraine? Don't scream at the Prez because all he does is send a request for the money. It is Congress that funds the IRS and controls the purse strings of foreign aid.

Don't like an uncontrolled Southern Border? Congress, again through the use of their purse-strings controls the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and the US Customs Service and 'tells' then what level of 'openness' should be allowed, and along with the DOJ (also controlled) how effectively the Border Patrol is to operate. How many different attempts were thwarted by the Congress controlled DOJ to wall-off the border?

And all the while Republicans are so intently and completely focused on bashing the President and his Administration, Congress continues to go about it's business as they see fit with absolutely no concerns about ever being called-out about what they do (or don't do), which is exactly how they like it and why they encourage it. Yep, let's just keep blaming the White House for all our 'evils' while continuing to elect the same political good 'ole boys time and time again.
