As with most politicians, Shadid has good and bad ideas.

This is one of his good ones.

***GASP*** What's next??? Letting people decide for themselves what to put in their bodies and what kind of music to listen to??? I don't know about you sir, but I'm not sure allowing sex, drugs, and rock & roll won't totally disintegrate our society.

I guess Ed is serious enough to keep getting elected. I like him a hell of a lot more than most of the usual Leslie Knope hyper-busybody types that are attracted to City-level government. He seems to usually be opposed to whatever cause du jour the other Councilmen are so excited to spend my money on. Or maybe he's just a contrarian, and he is just on the side of less government intervention because the others are always for it. Either way, I like him.

My stance on prostitution is the same as on weed -- legalize it, but don't regulate it or tax it.
