Yup. I had high hopes for this team. By far Lon’s worst coaching job this season. As soon as people started game planning against Trae, we have no answer. No plan. We don’t get him any easy open looks. Very few ball screens and really no screens at all for him without the ball. With him and Manik we should be running an offense like Golden State. Instead we just bring the ball down and wait for Trae to create his own shot or draw the D and try to pass. No actual offense to speak of. You are correct, we are not even one dimensional.

Glad I'm not the only one. The media is Ga Ga over Kruger, I just don't see it. He might have a good record, but he's failed this season as a coach. No adjustments, no answers for when they cover up Young.

2 Things jump out at me about Kruger.
1)When bad calls are made, Kruger is never in anyone's face about it.
2)When time is dwindling and the opponents are out of time-outs, you can ALWAYS count on Kruger to call 1 or 2 time-outs in the last minutes, giving the opponents free time to re-group and plan.

Think you're wrong. Early in the season, ending when he scored 48, or so, against the Pokes and they still lost, Young was getting heat for his shoot 'em up approach. Every coach (no longer coaching) in the country was telling him, essentially, you shoot too much. It got in his head. He's still better than most, but they miss his 30's+ avg. You're right though, in that they need some "step-up" players to assist him.

Well, those "step-up" players are still missing. Young had a pretty good game against the Pokes in the B12 tourney as well as against Rhode Island last night. Not enough. Their record this year, without him, would have been horrendous. I don't know if they need him to stay and form the basis of the team next year, or leave and force the team to grow without him.

    Go Pokes.

Don't know that he's coming back. I can't really blame him if he goes, he was their only reason to make mention on any news reel. A complete disaster without him. Don't really see much different looking to next year.

Duke destroyed R.I. today. Maybe OU was smarter than it appeared.

OU should never have went to the tournament, they were never a team as in playing together. Much less a talented team. Young should never have went to OU, I am sure some better colleges made him offers. I wouldn't stay at OU, he will hurt his future to play NBA.

He stayed in Norman as mom and dad didn’t have the cash to attend all of his games with travel, lodging etc. Plus, most kids dream of playing for the big instate school.

He had plenty of Officers. Just off the top of my head, Kansas, Duke, MSU and UK. I think Young could have improved his draft stock drastically if he’d of gone to a blue blood school and had a better supporting cast. MJ or James couldn’t win in this league by themselves.

Duke and Kansas wouldn’t have been a good fit for him though. Both already had PG’s playing 38 plus minutes. Young wanted to play 40/game.

He can’t hurt his draft stock anymore unless he becomes a Manziel. He was a one and done last spring.
