Not being a jerk here - but isn't the whole point of having sponsors to pay for the cost of upkeep? Most boards have sponsors that run from $40-100 / month. At this rate - a few sponsors should be more than enough for the most expensive hosting package out there.

In a way it's nice to know it's due to popularity!
of course sponsors should pay their share... but regular folks that wants to help should do so too.
OSA is growing and is feeling growing pains accordingly. OSA is free, but hosting is not.
no one is asking anyone to send huge paypal amount in. in fact no one is officially asking for any $$$.
but heck if a thousand folks sent in $3-$5 ... that would generate substantial $$$ ... which translates into options.
the more $$ available to pay for hosting... more options open up.
it's not unusual for 400 folks to be hitting OSA at the same time.
so it's not that far fetch to think in terms of large numbers of folks sending in small amounts. or large amounts... where's JB Brooks?
