Olympic Arms AR in 30 carbine

[Broken External Image][/URL] Found one of these rare little guns. Just got off the phone with OA and it's the real deal. The guy's story is that a pyramid full of 30 carbine ammo was found in the middle east and they were contacted to build the gun. around 3000 were made but only a little less than 400 made it to the public. On examining the gun. almost every part is modified for the cartridge. The guy at OA said it was just to cost prohibitive to continue building. It uses standard GI 20 round mags. I'm going to get it lettered and go play with it!

That ought to be a really soft shooter. Have you gotten a chance to shoot it yet?

ran some wolf steel cased stuff through it. i put about 100 rounds with not a single hiccup. soft shooting for sure.

That sounds like it works much better than my auto ordnance M1 carbine that I had. I tried several different mags and don't think I ever got a complete mag to fire without an issue.

it will only take the 20 round mags for some reason. the thirty goes in but i can't get it to lock unless i really apply a lot of pressure.

That is a very neat rifle. How is the bcg compared to a regular 5.56 AR? Pictures of the parts would be awesome!!
