I spent a little time on arkansashunting.net, today, and it reminded me of why I like you guys so much. Every single thread on there is someone whining about price gouging. Don't bother visiting the forum, you have to be a member to see the threads. Probably a blessing in disguise if you ask me.

Anyway, I wanted to point out a trend I've noticed. I have not found a single thread from someone who has purchased a gun at an inflated price and is angry about it. The only threads I see are from angry non-buyers. This has led me to make a few determinations...

1. It is possible that no one has actually bought one of these expensive guns yet. If this is the case, then the sellers are idiots.

2.The vicious, greedy gun sellers are killing buyers during FTF transactions, taking their money, and reposting their items for sale.

3. This one is a stretch... I doubt it's very likely, so don't flame me... The buyers have conducted a cost-benefit analysis and decided that the price they pay is worth the ownership of said item. They are, for lack of a better word, "happy" with their purchase.

I'm just tired of seeing people complaining. Some of these people complaining about price gouging are also the ones who accuse Obama of being a socialist. Last time I checked, socialists LOVE fixing prices.

Edit: Also, Merry Christmas guys and gals.

Funny isn't it, we ***** about the cost of firearms going up but not one peep about QT jacking up the price of gasoline every time some camel herder blows himself up, in fact, many people think that QT is awesome.

I think id be proud of the OSA members "hooking" each other up with good deals. If your gonna sale at "gougeing" prices, go to other forums or put it on armslist.

OSA classified ought to benefit OSA members, i can buy overpriced stuff anywhere, almost.

Hopefully this will pass anyway and we can get back to semi normal.

I personally would like to thank 2 OSA sellers who sold me the ARs they did. Not only did they sell to a newer member but did so at what I felt was a fair price. I may not have spent more but they did me "right". These guns are not for sale even if I did sell them for a high price. This is in part because these guys gave me a great deal and did so when they could have gotten more. Espesially if they waited a few more days. If I was to sell one it would be through the classified ads here and I would pass the deal to the next OSA member who says I will take it. Thanks guys. And you know who you are. Merry Christmas.

You haven't seen my letters to the editor of the Ponca City news about why our gasoline prices in Ponca, with the 10th largest refinery in the US are 11-12 cents a gallon more than anywhere in the state. I can buy gas on the interstate cheaper than I can in Ponca. When I go to OKC or Tulsa, there are several fuel cans that come back with me.

I'm sorry but some of the stuff going up for sale now is a bit ridiculous as far as price goes. There's a hand full of vendors on here that still have great prices. Then there are people who're asking 4-500 for a POLYMER lower.... Just great i tell ya. I For one won't buy into the hype of a 2000+ colt ar or any for that matter...

Not sure what normal is anymore. I have responded to a few post in the clasifieds and I guess maybe sending a PM with a offer lower than posted "Asking" price is offensive. More than a couple folks don't even respond.

Usually if a price is "Firm" it says so in the post.

I like to feel like i struck a bargain sometimes that makes both parties happy.

(confussed)

Unfortunately for me, the price negotiations and counter offers are part of what I enjoy about buying and selling.
