Grumpy is already tired of waiting on me hand and foot but I'm not sure what else we can do.
Hmmm... 5 gallon bucket of water with a siphon hose, cooler with lunchmeat & cheese & pickles, and a loaf of bread or two... :D

Just hang in there and don't do anything goofy like some other members around here <cough>steelfingers</cough> when you're supposed to be taking it easy.

Best wishes and get well soon. :drunk2:

Well you have to admit, that pic was taken by an enterprising young student specifically because she was wearing a short skirt, while sitting ON her desk in front of the class with her legs crossed. She knows EXACTLY what she's doing there. :)

Yeah and she was a new hire on emergency certification which raises the question of whether the admin there weren't checking on her or didn't recognize an issue with her actions is any more competent than the principal who handed out $140,000 in embezzlement money to the teacher in Wagoner.

12 years of school and I never so much as saw a teacher that hot. That's 10% of all porn plots right there.

In a case like that where the abuse isn't widespread, and assuming a thorough background check was conducted and revealed no prior misconduct, I think the district's liability should be limited to counseling and reasonable accommodations. Quite frankly, were I the 16 y.o. male student, I reckon more emotional damage would be incurred by listening to people attempting to convince me I'm a victim. If THAT is wrong, I don't want to be right! And yes she's still a criminal and what she did was wrong, but the victimization aspect is a big stretch.

In a case like this, there should be a bloodbath in the administration, felony charges on the teacher & principal, and the district should pay through the nose. That's just flat out sticking your head in the sand. :(

Background checks are a joke, they didn't even start to do out of state criminal checks until the 90's when it was figured out that felons were just jumping state lines for a new teaching job.

Some might be surprised to find out misdemeanor drug charges or DUI's don't preclude someone from being a teacher.

As for misconduct background checks OK. got an F in the USA Today investigative report a couple of years back.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ed-states-teacher-background-checks/80214540/

And the system for tracking misconduct issues is ran and controlled by a Educational Ass. non-profit group(not sure if they get Gov. funds or not) shown to have many problems. If you send your kids to school thinking they're "safe" from problem teachers or staff because you think the school or Gov. are protecting them maybe you should think again, and we should also ask if using a known failed background check system should relieve the system of liability.
