I found 9 cans of R12 while cleaning out a shop. I think I bought it back when they were outlawing the manufacture of it. Far as I can tell they are still good.

I can't really tell what it's selling for. Most of what I see on ebay appears to be some type of r12 replacement, not actual r12 freon.

Any idea of value on these? Am I rich?

20-25 years ago it was bring $20-25 a can, not sure now but doubt there's many cars that haven't been converted. I remember when it was 88 cents a can and could pick it up darn near anywhere. Maybe someone with an antique fridge that they just couldn't live without might need it and give a premium, If they're selling a replacement there must be a market.

Yes there is a market for it. I think I paid $40-$50 per can last year when working on the ac in my son’s 93 Mustang. Go to a car show and talk to some guys. You’ll be able to make a pretty penny on it.
