A cowboy friend of mine has a wild brother that has decided to restore him an old motorcycle of some sort. He text me a while back and it read something like.......

“Hey Jared, this Clint and I got a motorcycle seat that fits my bike and my azz but it looks like cheap crap. Can you fix it? It’s some sort of black rubber reptile print and I’d like it covered with a piece of genuine cow azz. I like my cow azz like I like my women, smooth and dark.”

So I told him to mail it to me and I’d give it a shot. I finally got time to start on it yesterday evening and I finished it this evening. @bigred1 does this look decent enough?

Looks like it's ready to bolt onto a horse!!

Yeah, that original would turn into a torture test of 'sandpaper' after a very short while..... Great as always on your replacement!

The leather work looks awesome, but holy h8ll looking at that seat just makes my a88 hurt. I'm a big ol' fat guy, but I am seriously lacking in the rear padding and something like that just looks like pure torture to me. :-)

My first real cabinetry build. 42x40x16 big honkin wall cabinets. Decided to lacquer them, which will be the first time shooting that stuff. I’ll start on a nice sturdy Bench and drawered cabinets below. On one end it will dip to about 31” and give me a desk like workspace. Not sure if I should built it all in one piece or just piece together boxes. I’m planning on 15-20 nice deep sized 32”x 22” full extension drawers w heavy duty slides. Shelves suck for workshop storage compared to good drawers imo

Haha
i will before I mess w lacquer. Probably just get a cheap hf one to play with. I have a nice graco airless but the overspray....ugh

I have a pretty fair HVLP rig, and I was using it today to shoot some automotive acrylic urethane for the first time. Went on decently with minimal overspray, but the fumes, whoa. And this was at the open OH doorway of my shop, too.

Oh yeah. I used to deal with catalyzed finishes and methyl ethyl ketone; I have a vapor respirator.
