I don't normally read a lot of prepper sites, but Bayou Renaissance Man (GREAT general reading) linked to a couple of stories that I thought folks here would be interested in.

This one concerns a prepper's cache that was discovered by some teenage boys, and what happened next. Good advice there.

This one is a treatise of one man's experiences during a recent ice storm. He mentions and links to several products that he found useful during the outage.
