As well hot loading does a number on your once fired brass....

I always load almost everything I own midway of the stated loads....

I find the hottest load recommended and the mildest load recommended....

split the difference and that is how I load.... keeps from stretching the brass and bulging the brass and keeps splits to a minimum. keeps you in usable brass or you get the most re-loads of your brass...

I agree totally with ldp4570 posted earlier.... 255gr to 300gr at 900fps will knock most any animal off of their feet....

Hmm I never thought abought messing up the brass. I think I'll just start with some lighter loads and then work up a little bit at a time.

The harder you push, the sooner your brass will die. Keep track of what is what! A trick I like is to only load my hot loads in nickel plated brass. Its just a little extra visual identification trick. As always, write down your load info and keep it in each box.
