Is anyone reloading or shooting with Hodgdon 777 powder? Is it much less corrosive than blackpowder? Does it produce comparable smoke?
It does NOT like to be compressed, yes it smokes but not as much as true black.
True black is not corrosive it just draws moisture which causes rusting.
777 is less of a problem witn drawing moisture but still needs to be removed from fire arms soon after firing.
