Not yet, but I usually get one with a pistol each year. Contrats on a great kill. I put pistol hunting up there with bow hunting. Still have to get them in to the same range.

Hardest part about being a handgunner is walking out of the house and leaving all them fine rifles in the safe! Not so bad once you get in the big woods, but walking across open country is nerve wracking. You just know you are going to see the biggest buck of your life at 200 yards.
BigElk that LCP might be a little light. I had been carrying a Super Redhawk in 454 Casull but left it home that evening. Guess I was lucky that buck came that close.

I've shot several over the years with a Dan Wesson .357. No bigger thrill than to get that close to a deer with them unsuspecting of your existence, Until the big Boom.
Great deer! I shot my first "handgun" deer this year (2009). I harvested an older 8 point at 80 yards with a 7mm-08 TC Encore, 15" barrel and a 2X scope. Was as proud of that deer as any I've taken with a long gun.
