I remember one commercial where he threw down his hat getting mad at a woman riding his horse.
He went over and picked it up saying, "Dang, I hope I didn't hurt my hat!"

He was a good friend of my Step Dad. They rodeoed together for years. My Step Dad is 86 and still Calf Ropes.

Met him at the Backwoods show in Okc probably 20 years ago, very nice guy. Have an autographed picture that's not going anywhere.

Sorry to hear this. Just a few days ago I shared a story about Walt. Around 1988 or 89 while at a team roping at the Lazy E, a friend and I went up to the lounge overlooking the arena. Garrison sat down at our table and appeared to having a really good time and for the next hour or so we were his best friends.

RIP Walt.
