Just out of curiosity, anyone in the Edmond area do roto tilling if the SHTF? If things start getting any worse we might need to expand past container gardening but do not have a tiller.
Walk behind. Yard is not big enough for a tractor sized garden. You talking tractor or walk behind tilling?
Doing containers now but can not afford big raised beds. Besides filling these hurt me. Tore the muscle in my left bicep and it is not healed yet.Have you considered raised bed bags? You would need to compost on a small scale and then just get some dirt.
We are talking growing a few basics if things get that bad. A couple tomato plants, potatoes, green beans, pintos, blackeyes. Maybe some squash. The bags I’m talking about are super cheap. You could get some dirt, dirt cheap. Also a ground garden will be harder to work.

if you use grass clippings for mulch is a good way to introduce unwanted Bermuda grass to your garden.
