wow, i noticed monday some chasing. wondered if the fawns that are old enough are coming in.
There is a "2nd cycle" if a doe wasn't bred the first go, sometimes a mature fawn maybe ready for the December cycle.wow, i noticed monday some chasing. wondered if the fawns that are old enough are coming in.
Went out this morning and noticed 3 bucks with 1 doe. Had a doe come in with a nice 8 that wouldn't let her out of his sight and eventually chased her off. Ended up rattling in a 8 that ended up taking a dirt nap and all of this was around 10:30
It's been a rough season for me, my MIL remarried this year to a douche bag and wants to hunt all the time. But he doesn't want to help out with filling feeders or anything, so I seen this buck which and decided I wanted to pull the trigger on him.
I can relate. I bust my ass in the off season clearing brush, setting stands, etc, then put in food plots and haul corn to the feeders all season and run cameras...all by myself. I don’t mind doing it for my daughters, but then when my partner decides he’s going to sit in my best stands, it pisses me off. He got irritated this fall because he had limited time to hunt but my daughters and I “had the best spots,” so he didn’t tag out. Tough break, especially when he set one stand in October and went in with a climber 2 days before rifle season...and that is ALL he did to prep this year. Guess what? It takes more effort than that.
