Any one got one and hand load for it?

I picked one up in 44 mag and with factory 240’s it’ll make your hand sting even with the rubber grips on it.

I need to find a holster for it now.

If it makes YOUR Hand sting , recon what it does to the bear!!!!
Had my RedHawks 44mag magnaported and wow what a difference. Just a slight push backwards with super hot loads. No need if using 44 special loads, not enough gas pressure. 44 special actually shoots 2” high at 25 yd.

Congrats on the 629 MG. I really like them. How about more pics and range report?
Yes, the 329 and 340 (J frame 357 mag) with anywhere near full loads is like shaking hands with the devil.
The Diamond D is a good rig, but I slightly prefer Simply Rugged SD pancake in a Chesty Puller for that type of carry but a good OWB can be found probably easier and cheaper for it.

@hunter966 I missed not having a .44 Mag around after I sold my 5.5" Redhawk so I picked up a 7.5" Redhawk back in early May and so far I've tried three different powders and three different loads with each under Hornady # 44200 240 gr. XTPs which Hornady says will peform between 700 fps to 1500 fps........Unique, 452AA and W231.

Both the Winch. 452AA and Unique shot accurately but were pretty sooty W231 shot just as accurate but was not as dirty so I went with 9.0 grs. of W231.......I'm not looking for a load that will beat me to death just something that is accurate and within the velocity ranges of the Hornady bullet.

Hodgdon data with W231 and Hornady 240 gr XTP's with them using a 8.275" barrel;
Min. 8.0 grs.......1021 fps.
Max. 11.0 grs.......1272 fps.

I like to play and I've still got some H110 and 2400 on hand to try as soon as it warms up.

If you don't have any W231 and Hornady 240 gr. XTP's on hand I'd be glad to let you have a wheel full or two to try if you get down this way.

It now wears Pachmayr Presentation (non finger groove) grips but here's my Redhawk.
