Saw 8 today

I've been working night shift since Friday night, and the weather has sucked Sat, Sun and Mon when I got off work. This AM I went out. Saw 4 does.
This PM I saw 3 more does and a small buck. No shots fired though. They've all been in the pastures, not the woods. I feel silly sitting in the middle of a pasture, but that's what I may have to do. Two this morning and two this evening were actually at my shooting bench.

It's always fun to see them moving. Just being in the outdoors is the best part of hunting. Don't feel silly sitting out in the middle of a pasture. I have killed many deer in the middle of a wheat field behind a round bale I set out there for a blind/feed for the cattle. Then again, we don't have "woods" in NW Oklahoma.

Yeah, this morning was absolutely gorgeous. The front finally moved through, it was a perfect morning and then afternoon to be outside.

This morning and even today (north wind) would be awesome for a setup I have on the corner of a wheat field. I'm jealous ...
