Thanks guys. Yeah, I had planned on giving a detailed range report complete with pictures and all this weekend, but my buddy with the camera canceled on me due to the chilly weather. Therefore I made my way to the gun show and used the wife's phone for the pic.

Is there any real advantage to the bobtail? Looks nice, but might feel funny in the hand.

I have a commander Bobtail And I actually think it feels better in the hand, JMhO though.

That's what I initially thought as well, until I put the bobtail next to a CZ-75. The grip profiles of both pistols are very similar, and feel very similar. After handling a hi power, cz, and bobtail back to back, a traditional 1911 feels very large and 3rd generation S&W/SIG like.
