Shawnee Outdoors closing and moving back to Ada

I found there firearm prices to be awful high. Range prices were very expensive too. I paid $14 for 1 target and literally 4 minutes on the range. (Was testing out some reloads)

New place will be
Head south. a couple miles. cross the overpass, keep going into Latta. Theres a intersection, coke plant and the new ada outdoors will be on the left, across the road from them is the latta truck stop, turn right to go latta school.

Crap, I have a membership there and I drive from OKC because it's a nice range. I went last Thursday, and the place looked like it was being cleared out. Sign on door said Gun Smith had been moved to Ada. I told my son in law, I think they may be going out of business. At least I got my fingerprints done at the Silencer shop kiosk while there.

I was told by multiple sources as far back as 5 months ago that Firelake has bought out all the land from the corner where the old meat market used to be down past Shawnee Outdoors and are planning on building something there, but each person has a different story of what will be built. I’ve heard a new event center for their basketball team, a new casino, and a large resort, so take it with a grain of salt.

I heard that the tribe was extremely irked that BDC sold it to a non-tribal-member, and that is why Outdoors has to vacate. @jtmcglothin is right, the rumor mill on this one will be wild for a long long time

Alot of people went when it was BDC Gun Room, the new people just didn't want guns to be their main forte. BDC was awesome.

Sad to see it go but the new guy just seemed to care for the mowers and not the guns. Jack when he owned it was a awesome gun dude, the black friday deals were amazing. He ran some pretty good matches from impromptu bullseye to bowling pin matches, a lot of fun and a lot of lead sent down range in the past. Hope Sam finds a good gig, she's been the a very long time.

I hear that an outdoor range near Shawnee, that is now available by appointment only, will soon be open full time.

They only sold the business. The tribe owns the building. I don't see that changing either.
