On a fluke, I traded for a 3-screw .30 Carbine.

That thing is a blast. Literally.
With mil-spec ammo, it is a fire breather. With cowboy loads and lead bullets, a tack driving, kitten.
With Hornady 110 gr V-Max, a hog sledgehammer.

.30 Carbine can be a ballistic equivalent to .327 Federal, .32 H&R or .32 S&W.
Load wisely and it is pure fun.

Wish I could get a lever action carbine companion for it.

My preference is for the 1851 Colt.
The .40 bore like Samuel Colt prototyped before the war is my favorite shooter.
