What is ideal slaughter weight/age for you?

I see the cradle being most useful for pigs, deer seem pretty long…

Look up the bearded butchers on YouTube, they do cows also and the cradle isn't very long.

If its a deer hang it by the head & skin will peel off. Convinced some old deer hunters in Arkansas to hang one by its head & skin it they could hardly believe how easy it was to peel the hide off.

That's the only way I skinned deer. I absolutely hate trying to skin one upside down. But moving forward I'll use a cradle.

You may have to zoom in to see the chains & pulley but this is my skinning/quartering station at my hunting property. There’s a chain high and another ground level to prevent spinning
