Smith & Wesson Model 25-5 with German Proof Marks

5.75" = 145.05MM. .05MM is less than .002" so I'm betting that gun was spec'd as a 145MM barrel length. I'm curious as to whether the proof marks were stamped before of after it got to Germany.

That one would definitely be worth getting the letter on. Great looking piece!

The proof marks were stamped once it got to Germany. Since there are no reimport marks, it was probably sold through a military rod and gun club and imported personally by a service member.,

Somewhere out there is a 1982 vintage 4" 629 marked WISCHO(?) with German proofs that I bought at the Mainz-Kastell Rod & Gun Club. I sold it several years ago.
