Jade is home and doing fine.
Meds keep her pretty sedate.
Still a lot of swelling on the left front leg.
It's nearly twice the size as the other.
The vet said he's seeing quite a few bites this time of year.

.38 with snake shot in the holster from now on when I'm at the farm.
Our place is about 20 miles west of Okmulgee and 10 miles north of Okemah.
A little spot in the road called Haydenville.
We've had the place since 1958 and not until the last 4 years have we ever seen these rattlers.
The ecology is changing.

Yeah, I know she's just a dog but dog's are special!

Thanks OSA family for the support!

My 80 acres is just west of Haydenville a bit. Pygmy rattlers all the time.....killed my first last week. They are not aggressive but they don't move away fast enough when you accidently encounter them. I have snake boots that I wear anytime when off the trail or road and refuse to bring my dog out with me for that reason. during the warm months I carry Judge with alternating .410 and 45 in the cylinder ( pigs too )

I think that Jade deserves a special treat tonight. Glad to hear that she’s back home and resting.

Use my Judge as well with the same combo. .410 first load.
