I have an aunt in Soldotna, so my mother lets us know when it's warmer there than here...and it has been quite frequently as of late. Not long ago, it was even colder in Austin (where another aunt lives) than in Soldotna.

If it's going to be this effing cold here, I may rethink that retiring to Alaska thing...
