Folks, I hate to tell you this, but Popeye was about 50 years down the line in 1980. I was watching his cartoons at the ten-cent movies in the 40's

Heck I remember watching Popeye cartoons growing up. But for me it was mainly Smurfs and Muppet Babies and the ol' Wile E. Coyote and Bugs.

I liked the ones during WWII with Bugs, Daffy and Popeye fighting the Germans and Japanese. Most of them are banned now.
