no problem with the generator…once you have enough gas to run it. Hind sight, I should have thought about the BTUs and the car battery that was needed to start it (nothing on the box or in the promotional literature that ever mentions that little expense). But what the hell, right? Piece of mind knowing that when the SHTF, I'll have plenty of juice.
Unless you have an older home that has not been upgraded, state code requires supply from 1 1/4" BLACK pipe from the meter. Older homes should be at least 1". The only reason for smaller would be installation of the smaller pipe teeing off of the main supply line.
