I know I'll likely be crotchety and rebel against the idea when I get to be an old man & it's time to hang up the keys, but seniors really should have to pass an eye test and a driving test after a certain age. Probably not 65 because that's not that old, but somewhere a line should be drawn - for their protection and to protect those they endanger.
I saw an old lady the Moore Walmart parking lot battling her way into one of the handicapped spots bang into the vehicle in front of her as well as the one behind, it gathered a small crowd because it took her a LONG time. When she got out I watched a man say to her "Ma'am, do you realize you just hit both of those cars? She toddled up to the front of the car and he pointed at the dent in her bumper and the dent in the car in front of her, she scowled and said "It's fine, what do you think those bumpers are for?"
