I think it's probably the best all-around cartridge made for this part of the world. Great BC and it comes a short action. Nothing beats it as far as I'm concerned.
I love my .264 win mag, so I assume it's just the non-mag version. I have no experience with it but I if it acts anything close to mine then it's a keeper.
its very smiliar to a 700. There is aftermarket stocks and whatnot available,just not a big a selection as with the 700.

I love the 260 remington. I have a 25 remington now. I need to find some reloading dies for it since the ammo is no longer produced. Only way I have found buy it is 30 remington necked downed and reloaded to 25.
