I have a box of 30-30 Winchester with an Otasco price tag of $7.89.
You could have bought three bags of groceries or over a tank full of gasoline for that amount.
Perspective.

I worked part time in a gun shop in Madison, Wisconsin back in the late 80's - early 90's and can remember when .223 WWB sold for $1.99 for a 20 count box. Those were the good ole days..... (sighs)

Very disappointing. Up until 2 months ago, all I owned was a 12 ga. 870, so never had the need to buy or stock up on ammo before things went south. I got some .223, but I wouldn't say I got a deal. At this point though, it is a bit better than most prices I've seen - if you can even get it.
