I would like to thank the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (The Official FB Page) trooper that stopped yesterday had helped me change a flat tire. It was on I-40 just East of El Reno. Unfortunately I did not get his name, but he was extremely helpful and it was greatly appreciated.

One actually stopped to help? 99% of the cops I see drive by people needing help just keep on truckin'.
He did not ask any thing. When he got out of his car he had on gloves and a lug wrench. I had unloaded the back of the car and was starting to jack it up. He came up and told me to keep on jacking and he would get the lug bolts. He was very friendly and of course helpful.
About 7 years back, my old '02 Mustang broke down on I-35 and waterloo, in the middle of winter. It was freezing outside. This was before I had a smart phone, and I was trying to get a number for a tow truck. OHP pulled up and let me sit in his warm cruiser while he radioed in for a tow.
Was very thankful for the gesture.

I hope you didn't miss a golden opportunity to immediately yell out "AM I BEING DETAINED?"
Good deal! I've see the OHP helping on the interstate more than once.
