I told her the choice was hers and if she changed her mind she could without question. The tag for a 10 year old apprentice hunter was only $10 but if it had been $100 I would have felt the same. Her mom is from the DC area and not big on the outdoors but always enjoyed venison. She was onboard as well. She wants to come every year now.
You may notice she has the rifle on left should and gripping it with right hand. She is left handed and left eye dominant but was more comfortable shooting from traditional right hand. Once she settled in she was shooting consistent 3-4 inch groups with my 223 wylde varminter. I am going to sight in the Howa mini 6.5 Grendel I built for her this week. She will be ready to go to Wilshire next time she is in town and practice.
she is. next year is Thanksgiving with mom but she said she was going to talk mom into letting her come hunting. Mom would not approve of riding in the back of Chaps truck to feed cattle. She was in heaven.
