Nail on the head BK. In the not so distant future it will be the plumbers and carpenters making the big bucks. Not only do people not know how to do things for themselves, but they dont want to either.

As far as this bringing industry back home, that is all well and good, but it appears that the plan is to bring it here and perform it with computers, robots, and machines. How is that going to help Americans or our economy?

Not exactly.
I interviewed about 15 guys yesterday and about half of them are in or just got out of Vo-Tech. Heck the machine shop teacher came and brought some of his students to apply.
A while back they said machinist are a dieing breed but it looks like we are making a come back. But to be honest, I'd rather train a guy that's green but has good mechanical ability over someone fresh out of trade school. I actully hired a guy like that yesterday over some of the Vo-Tech guys.
