News Flash!!!!! The "Over the Hill Gang" reported in tonight. No elk down, temps was 51 degs with winds at 40 mph and gusting to 50+. One hunter was jerked out of the truck when a gust of wind caught the door.
Wind shifted and blowing hard out of the north now, temps dropping like a rock and wind supposed to hit 60 mph. Hmmm, I think I will go put another log on the fire.

50mph winds play havoc on hunting.
Man, that wind sucks! I'm hoping they get better hunting weather. There's a ton of elk there.

The "Over The Hill Gang" reported in tonight. Wind in excess of 40 mph, no shots fired, but around 300 elk moved onto the ranch close to dark. Several herd bulls were seen and several lesser shooter bulls were moving with the two groups. I anticipate that some elk will be going down tomorrow.
