44 years mine has put up with me.
He's gotta be good for something. I tell my wife I'm a good husband. Good for what, we haven't quite figured out yet. But I do fix tea or coffee for her in the mornings. I'm bringing her the stuff she needs while she's in the hospital, too. Night gowns. Hard candy to help keep her mouth from drying out. Soft caramels to make the mediocre coffee they have taste better. Her tablet and charging cables to keep that and her phone running. When she was really in bad shape I spent the days with her reading aloud to her, or playing music and singing along with it so she knew I was there even when she was asleep. When I was in the hospital for both of my hip replacements. She sang to me to help keep my mind off waiting for the next pain meds. Payback isn't always a *****.Why?!?!?!?!
And one of these days we'll figure out what I'm good for.
