The lake it is said never gives up her dead when the skies of November turn gloomy

I Saw a documentary on the Gordon Lightfoot song recently. They had never rehearsed the song before, and this was their very first time ever attempting to play the song as a band, and it was declared THE take. No cuts, not re-takes.

I like that song! Surprised to see a mention on here.

Been a while since I been up there, but Ashtabula Harbor (less than 50 miles North of me!) on Lake Erie was one of the places the Edmond Fritsgerald made a stop at!

The story of the Edmund Fitzgerald endures

I grew up where we usually had at least one family picnic up on Lake Erie each year.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, but my Mom worked hard making all the food at home some time before the trip!

I did not know anything about the Edmond Fritsgerald back then!
