My wife's uncle is in the ICU on a ventilator with sepsis due to a sudden ruptured intestine. Prognosis is unsure at this point, but he's expected to be knocked out and on the ventilator for at least a few days, possibly up to several weeks. Uncle Joe is a great guy, a gunner, a rock 'n roller, and possibly the greatest way-back story teller I've ever known. I'd appreciate any prayers, thoughts, and warm fuzzies you could send our way.
Heavenly father, giver of life and health: comfort and relieve your sick servant Uncle Joe and give your power of healing to those who minister to his needs. Be with the family of Uncle Joe for whom our prayers are offered and give to them and Joe strength in their weakness and confidence in your loving care.
