Dont know how much you want to spend, but for less than 30 bucks you could try a Boker Plus Pocket Bowie. A far better knife than the price suggests.

For the need you describe, the issue isn't really the knife but rather the sheath.

Anything with a blade 4" or under and a flat handle will work however no production knife I've seen comes with a good sheath.

That said, the best sheaths in the business are made right here in Tulsa by Infight access kydex aka Tulsadave on this forum.

Get the knife you want and then have him make a sheath for it.

Look at these guys. I have several of the Scrap Yard knives, as well as their family offerings from Swamp Rat and a few Busse. The warranty of these guys are awesome, the steel is unbelievable due to their patent heat treat. The knife linked below is Sr101 and should be in the rc of 60. They are a limited offered blade so you order now, the order window is closed, knife produced, and then you get it.

I hate you for posting that...

Check out Bladeforums.com and search the knife-exchange's Busse section for "warden" and check out Busse Game Warden (the Skeleton Warden is ok, but I much prefer the Micarta/G10 scales on the Game Warden).

There's also the ESEE (used to be Rat Cutlery) Izula or Izula II (you can get scales for the Izula, but its still a tad smaller than the Izula II). If you want a bit larger than that, check out the ESEE-3

Also, Bill Coye's Ridgeback (as has been stated above) is pretty nice too - about half-way down this page is my initial write-up on it (I need to add a lot more to it):

I really want a TOPS Scalpel - its got a long handle and a skinny blade, but the spine is insanely thick, so its a tough knife:

here's mine. dont know how much it would print under a t-shirt, but under a jacket or something it doesnt show. never worried about covering it up myself, but then i dont spend much time in urban areas either. have had some looks at walmart & such, but nobody ever said anything.
