Varminting Hunting around Tulsa

Any good varmint hunting around the Tulsa area? I would love to try varmint hunting and just wondering the prospects.

Plenty of yotes around on public lands as long as deer season isn’t open not sure about around Tulsa but north of Tulsa there is

The WMA’s around the Arkansas river near Tulsa has varmint and pigs as a bonus.

I wonder if a 17 HMR would be good enough for hogs if I run into one or if a larger cal is in order. Like .223 with 55 gr Vmax might do.

There are folks that say the .17 or .22 mag has worked for them. Going that direction, I’d use solids but most will say a larger caliber would need to be used with heavier constructed bullets.
There have typically been opinions all over the charts when what caliber is best for pigs in past threads.

I've hunting pigs in Texas and popped them with a Marlin in 35 Remington but not ideal for varmints.

All I have ever shot any with is .223 fmj out of a AR I have a buddy that has shot a few with 17hmr and always shot them behind the ear
