This open letter is a fight("feel good gun legislation/restrictions) against Democrats and others that are trying to put the blame for the Muslim terror attack in Orlando, Florida, on the weapon the attacker used and are trying to install more limits on the Second Amendment and on law abiding US citizens.

'We will train, we will be ready, and we will vigilantly defend our freedom'

...“We will be prepared, we will train, we will be ready, and we will vigilantly defend our freedom,” the letter says. “We call upon gun bloggers, activists, trainers, members of the firearms industry, gun owners, and anyone who enjoys freedom, to support rolling back restrictions on responsible gun owners and opposing attempts to pass ineffective, ‘feel good,’ gun restrictions.”

The letter was signed by a long list of rights groups including Grass Roots North Carolina, Open Carry Texas, Gun Owners Of Maine, Oklahoma Second Amendment Organization, Idaho Second Amendment Alliance, Western Missouri Shooters Alliance, Arizona Citizens Defense League and other groups from Virginia, Vermont, Florida, Nebraska and Illinois."...

More "sound and fury, signifying nothing" by a group that can't get their legislative programs passed and can't hold those legislators' feet to the electoral fire.

You may be right about "sound and fury" but while this past legislative session wasn't as successful as was hoped OK2A has done more to protect and advance the rights of gun owners in Oklahoma than anyone in my lifetime.

Damn sure a lot more active in our State Legislature than the NRA...

First rule of power politics: your politicians stay bought. If you can't manage that, you're a "pretenda", not a "playa."

And as to the NRA vs. OK2A, both have their place and have had some successes so I'm not here to declare a consistently better performer. This is an issue where you need a hit every time you come to the plate or the opposition is emboldened to think they can take back some of our previous wins. That's the real rub, IMO.
