My bad, mixed up with you saying just needed the m223 base. The smaller the group the better. Being a 308 rifle why would I put the 223 bdc 600? I can get the 308 bdc 800 designed for the caliber at the same price point.

This plus ya might have a look at redfield, also with a lifetime warranty and owned by Leopold..MSRP is $323 but the actual street price may fit into your budget. With that budget the glass isn't going to be great. I like Japanese produced glass at a minimum, I have several Bushnell Elite series scopes and they've been great. I'd look hard a Vortex, Burris, Nikon and the Bushnells that aren't on the bottom budget tiers.

EDIT: Just saw it on Amazon for $211.
I was in Broken Arrow today. I'm going to check these folks out. I have a couple of the original weaver wire cross hair scopes. K1? One has clear glass, the other a little milky. Cool to bring them back up to original, as they are on classic guns.Since you're in Tulsa, you might give these guys a try http://www.ironsightinc.com/
Refurbish scopes and located in Tulsa.
