I can't tell if that hog is attacking or just trying to get away. May have been bayed by some hounds and trying to bust out. He sure reacted quickly to hit it that close. Point and click.

I was out hunting pigs right before dusk with a buddy. I shot one in the middle of a wheatfield. My buddy convinced me to go out and take a look. We were on a way back to get the truck and a boar just appeared charging straight at us. My dad had been gored by a boar before so I hadnt put my rifle on safety. My buddy dropped his rifle and was hauling butt back towards a pipe fence. I started firing from the hip with a scoped 30-06 and my first shot took it in the chest knocking it down. I fired for effect to make sure it was down. It was a close call so I walk real carefull when I'm in the woods.
I think you guys reputation is not up to mine with the hogs. They don't seem to be showing you any respect although they must be learning to. They only run from me. I had some bulls last year that had not heard of me though and they sure wanted to stomp a mud hole in me.
