So a public option was an idea from the HF?

Look I don't give two craps about an R or a D. They are just different sides to the same coin. They are both driving this bus off a cliff and this debate about who's budget is who's is retarded. They are all in cahoots together in the game of getting re-elected and we are all going to pay for it.

Am I the only one that thinks that the debt to GDP is a big deal? The sheer fact that it hasn't happened since WWII which was a massive undertaking, and how there is no end in sight for the current spending. This will end and it will be ugly when it goes down. Regardless of who is in charge when the bill comes due.

As long as the lemmings keep believing that their only choices are (or should be) an R or a D, nothing will change. People who buy into the left-vs-right paradigm are the problem with America.

Thanks to Obama and his onerous regulations coupled with the highest business tax rate in the civilized world, businesses are not willing to spend their cash, hire people or do almost anything that requires an investment.

Wake up and realize that until this economy starts cranking again with some form of a government that is predictable and less heavy handed, there will be no way we can support the amount of spending that they've committed us to. Keep Obama in office and you'll have another 4 years of stagnation and even more record spending.

OH... and for all of the blathering about the Heritage Foundation's AAHC proposal back in the 90's, it was largely ignored by the conservatives and in fact Don Nickels pulled the bill he introduced after the details were better understood and it failed to gain support amongst a concensus of conservatives.

The Obama talking points have brought all that up now in an effort to make it seem as though Obama-care is a R idea lol. The other thing they fail to point out is that the HF paper was initially a COUNTER-proposal for individual health care due to the BS "Hillary-Care" that Clinton wanted to push though back in the day. Funny how everyone forgets about that huh? It wasn't like the Heritage Foundation wanted to have and thought up the concepts, they were trying to offer an alternative within the framework of the debate at the time.

Friggin liberal talking points... most of the people repeating all the current garbage put out by Obama to try and lessen the gap and blur the line were still in napkins when all that happened.

The Heritage Foundation's proposal was "largely ignored by the conservatives" except for those that instituted it (Romney) and those that continued to endorse it until 2009 (Gingrich).

It would be much more than stagnation and record spending:

Pretty broad definition of conservative you are using there.

I think it's hilarious in the quest to dethrone Obama that the Rs just wanted to nominate "whoever can win" and now they have someone that even if he wins will be just like Obama. R stands for retards.
