Why do I live in Oklahoma?

I'm sitting here on the Keemah boardwalk enjoying the saltgrass prime rib, awesome weather and waterfront view with a margarita. There is so much outside of OK, why would anyone live there? I've lived such a sheltered life!

There's something to be said for Tornados, Earthquakes, relentless high wind, drought, ice, heat waves, and snow!

Oklahoma has pretty good people and is pretty 2nd A friendly. Cost of living is not too bad. I will say that it is far from the prettiest place and we are far behind most of the nation. I enjoy living here, but damn sure have to get away now and then.

I agree. As soon as my youngest moves out, we will probably be moving. We have been looking at NM and CO for several years. We have also been looking at Florida, but the mountains will probably win out.

What you mean is to get back to familiar surroundings, your own bed and all your stuff.
I lived in Kemah for 6 years, nice area but what I miss most is the 36 hour Tuna trips out of Galveston.
