It doesn't matter who's right or wrong in the diagnosis. The government shouldn't be allowed to make decisions like this over the wishes of the parents and/or family. The British Government has done this multiple times. Not sure why they just didn't let the Italians take him.
My major argument against government-run healthcare is, if they cannot run the government, or even run the VA, they have no business running healthcare, PERIOD!

What's the most cost effective healthcare insurance plan for Oklahomans this year? I have Medicare A & B and also kept my Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield. The premium on it is $308 monthly. Had over $180k in medical for 2 knee surgeries in 2022 and didn't have a cent out of pocket.

One of my liberal friends back in 2018 was stumping why we need government run healthcare. Shut him down really quick when I said "how would you like Trump running your health insurance." End of conversation.

Also amazing how many vets I have heard say we need socialized medicine. My response, "why don't you use the VA, you have it?" Usually gets a quick "that doesn't count..."

Well...it really doesn't count. Not all veterans can get health care thru the VA. It depends on your type of discharge, your household income, and a few other factors. There are 8 "Priority Groups" that determine the level of care you're eligible to receive, with Priority 1 being the highest level. Depending on what Priority Group the VA assigns you to will determine what benefits you're eligible to receive, if any. You might also have to agree to make co-pays for your care.

my last job I had blue cross of texas and I was paying almost 1200/month with 25.00 copay that was for me my wife and son. an ER visit was 300.00 and it didn't pay for any imaging unless emergency so the 4 MRI visits my wife had to have every year were out of pocket.

It’s all about money and their control of power over their subjects. That simple. The kid could have had treatment here in the USA. The Brits denied it. Money better spent on someone else. That is their socialist, subject, philosophy mentality

Not to mention, once you hit Social Security age, TRICARE become secondary, and you have to take Medicare as your primary. No choice in it.

So you’re saying it’s the poster child for socialized healthcare?
