This particular one looked like the rotor was still bolted to the wheel. Probably a wheel bearing failure. Hope those people are ok. They didn’t have long to react.

One thread indicated the truck had some kind of a hillbilly extension?
That’s derogatory and I am offended.

I can’t tell from the video but it is possible. It looked pretty wide in the front but the rear didn’t look as bad. If he had stuff bolted under it to make the wheels stick out further that falls under idiotic.

I think I read in the comments of the original video that "they survived." And, that surprised me.

But now, let's pick on the Dodge owners...

My son is restoring a Karmann Ghia and he was driving it near Dallas on one of their freeways and some guy waved him down.."You lost you wheel." Evidently the suspension of the VW's are such that the body doesn't drag with speed so my sone didn't realize he'd lost a wheel. Someone did't tightened the lug nuts and off the wheel went never to be found and no damage to the car..or other cars. He was lucky.
