I have eaten those rations and I agree about the Tabasco sauce, or any other kind of sauce to cover the taste. But Spam, at least the newer Spam does not taste like that. I personally was not a big fan of Spam when you had to scrape the gel off. The stuff nowadays is much better and I keep several cans in my food storage.

I don't mind it. Not my favorite but it's at least palatable. Stir fry is the only way to go, IMHO.

I like it once in a while, usually slices fried a little crispy and on toasted white bread with mayo. Sometimes a slice of American cheese, but really, it's fatty enough the richness overdoes it for me.
