Don Perryman in Prue does custom loading as well. I have been loading for my 58 for years. It is the only way to afford to shoot it. Mitch at J&K bullet casters carries .41 mag cast lead. I run them at full magnum loads with no problem. That will save you a bunch too.
I am building a 9mm rifle. I need to have the barrel chamber reamed. Anybody know of a gunsmith in Tulsa that can do this? Please don't send me to Honeybee as he has medical problems I don't think he is working anymore.
Thanks!
The best advice I can give is wear comfortable shoes. There never seems to be any place to sit and so my feet kill me by the end of the day. An air freshener around your neck might not be a bad idea either!
Oh and go to J&K bullet casters and buy some bullets.
OkC hunter, do you shoot .41 mag, or even if you don't I have a 41 mag shell plate that I no longer use. You are welcome to it if you want it. I switched over to Hornady ( I had a piggyback, which was not their best effort.) let me know.
The moon clips are thin metal circles that have slots in them that the acp 45 cartridges slip into. That allows a revolver to shoot acp cartridges, the same ones that go in a 45 auto. the moon clip stays in the pistol when it is loaded. I think military did that starting on the Smith & Wesson...
It may just be the picture, but that does not look like an acp case to me, looks like a 45 auto rim. If that is what it is it is meant to shoot from 45acp revolvers without using the moon clips. They won't work in an auto. What is stamped on the case?
Don't shoot rifles and go shoot bottom feeder pistols a whole bunch and I bet you can figure out what progressives are for! ( I use a single stage for rifle bullets too, but don't shoot rifles much) I learned how to reload on a single stage and since I mostly shoot pistols it wore me out. I...
Go to the Wannemacher show in Tulsa. Figure your gas and entry fee as entertainment. If you have never been to a show you will be in awe of how many guns of all types are there. Don't count on tons of new modern stuff, or being able to look at much without getting run over. But it is a show you...
Not anything to do with delivery as both are good, Fedex around here edges out UPS. But at one time I had a Smith and Wesson 2nd model HE I sold. I had to ship it to a FFL obviously. Fedex would deliver it for me. Ok, so I look up their regs, package the box accordingly. I went to drop it off...
I switched to them over a year ago. I love them. With 5 cars they saved me over 1200/year. I don't know where their call center is but they all speak americanized english and suspect they are in the usa. If you call them the agent will ask for your website password and will get on the same...
Hmmm, not sure that Berries are the same as J&K. I will let Mitch comment on that one. I can say that the first time I met Mitch he told me that his bullets were fine in my 41 mag. I kind of muttered BS under my breath. He gave me some samples.. I tried them. I can vouch for them in my 41mag. I...
Stainlesssteeltumblingmedia.com says a 1/4 of a teaspoon. I use about a full teaspoon. I don't measure it, I just pour a little in. Works fine for me. The only thing I hate about it is that I don't have one of the rotary media separators. I have a home made set up that I use. One of these days I...
