Beans in chili, where do you stand?

I am surrounded by yankees. No, beans do not go in chili.

And i like my beans.

I dislike beans but have learned to deal with them in the chili because that's how everyone around me cooks it. I don't eat beans in any other form.

One thing worse than beans are nuts. It's like eating wood, no thanks.

The International Chili Association bans beans from official competition. As an absolute bean hater, I have to side with them. No beans!

When cooking for competition, I add no beans...

When cooking for family, I wait until the last 30 minutes and dump the pinto beans in there...

Yes, this exactly. Bean chili is yankee food.

I'll tolerate the occasional pinto or red bean in some chili as long as it's not on a dog, though I'd rather not. Never any kind of white bean. And black beans....just no.

Love some pintos on their own.
